Last night I had my SAK Comedy Lab Graduation show in Orlando, FL in front of all my friends and family and it was truly the best Improv experience I've ever had. Thank you to all that came out, I'm a officially a SAK Comedy Lab Alumni!
But there's better news! I've been invited to become the newest member of the SAK "Lab Rats"!!! In a few months you'll be able to see me perform on Tuesday Nights in Orlando. I'm very honored to have been asked to join, not many people get this opportunity :)

Today we went to New Symerna Beach, FL at a Airstrip/Hanger to film the last scene for our EPIC Skittin Across America Intro for the DVD, and trust me the shots we filmed today are hilarious and are just going to make this DVD that much better. I can't wait to get feedback from this DVD once it's finished, it's going to be amazing!
We are going to be announcing in a few days MORE HUGE TALENTS that are going to be added to this DVD. They filmed some video narratives for the DVD this past weekend, and will be sending it to us this week, and trust us you know this guys and they are just more names to add to the stacked list of our massive Skittin Across America DVD!

It has really been a crazy few days for myself...
Monday I entered the MadTV Contest on IF.net, and I'm currently in 1st place! There's still 44 or so days of voting so please keep voting and thank you all for the continued support (information on voting is in the blog below). Monday evening Drew Roberts came down from Orlando and we shot footage for his intro in "Skittin Across America" (www.skittinacrossamerica.com), and it turned out great. Also featured in this clip was Ryan Sylvester (Bassist - Black in the Mind) and he plays a really funny role!
Tuesday I went out to eat with my mother, sisters and girlfriend...Red Lobster mmmm...Great time, love spending time with my favorite women in the world ;)
Wednesday I shot for the Disney Video at the Polynesian Resort in Orlando! The shoot was very quick, started around 9AM and I was out by 11AM. Good times :)
Today I actually had the opportunity to audition for a role on CW's "ONE TREE HILL" as a walk on role, my agency filmed me and I'll let everyone know how that turns out...keep your fingers crossed!
This weekend I am going to be the best man in my buddy AJ Gallant's wedding. AJ was my former wrestling training and current member of band "LOST IN CHAOS". You can read a blog about them in an earlier post. AJ's a great friend of mine and it's an honor to be his best man.

So this past weekend my friend Ryan Sylvester's (Bassist - Black in the Mind) good friend Bowen Staines and three of his friends came down from Savannah, GA to stay at our place for the weekend. Bowen is a pro skater and a filmmaker and him and his crew were premiering on of their movies at our Townhouse/Studios friday night, and ended up actually filming a lot of footage for their future DVD after the screening. Lets just say we had a good time :)
Saturday, we took Bowen down to Lake Wales Skate Park and he did a little skate sesh with Scotty Trimmier and I filmed it and it will be featured in the Skittin Across America DVD. This DVD is going to have everything that anyone could ever want to watch. Drew Roberts came down also that day and we filmed some additional footage for the INTRO of the DVD, and the ending of the DVD. I'm almost done with the rough cut of the DVD, then I need to go back and add music, transitions, effects...the boring stuff.
Sunday Bowen and his crew left early and I spent the day editing Skittin and filmed something for an audition, more news to come soon :)

Yep just found out today from my agent's that I landed the Disney Role, I'm pretty psyched. It's the first role that I've auditioned for and landed, so yea pretty rad! I will be filming for it sometime between October 5-9, I'll deff post whatever pictures I can from the shoot right here on my site!
Google "Laminin"...it's a protein that holds other molecules together, without it we would not exist...and it's all throughout us. Just google a picture of it, should make sense.

This weekend was VERY event-filled to say the least...

Saturday I went to the beach for my buddy Garrett Bryant's Birthday. If you don't know Garrett he makes up 1/2 of "Crispy Punk TV", which is another Internet Based Sketch Comedy Group from around here. They will be featured on our Skittin Across America DVD, and have helped us out tremendously in the past with "Wooden Steel LIVE!" Webcasts and will when in starts back up in October. Today I had another "SAK COMEDY LAB" Class. Almost done with my Level 3 class, and today I found out that I will be advanced on to Level 4 once this class is over in 2 weeks. Then after Level 4 I can start shows at SAK, YEAAAA BOY! When I got home from Orlando (SAK) around 6PM I grabbed a bite to eat, threw some clothes in the laundry and began some editing of Skittin Across America, which is what I'll get right back to doing after I finish this blog. For those that don't know I just finally began editing Skittin Across America Monday. I know your probably saying, "BUT YOU WENT ON THAT TRIP BACK IN JULY, AND YOUR JUST NOW STARTING TO EDIT IT?!?!!"...Don't fret, there is reason to this madness.
1.) I moved, and that took up alot of time.
2.) Good DVD's require an editing outline of sorts, and that took some time.
3.) I'm still trying to find a good charity to get the proceeds of this thing to, but it's a lot harder than you probably think!
4.) We're trying to gather good music for this thing, which is taking a lot of time.
5.) We just got done with the narration footage last Thursday, and we still have some more additional scenes to film. We have an intro scene that's going to blow your mind! In a funny blowing up kinda way.
6.) I'm trying to get publicity on our Story, and it's harder than I thought. I mean it's a really good story, does anyone know a media outlet that may be interested in covering it?
But yea, so I finally have started editing it, and it's kinda scary. Scary in that this is such an amazing project that I have in my hands that I'm now editing, and I want to make sure that I make it AMAZING! But roughly 20 mins into the DVD at a very raw state, it's looking pretty awesome. Can't wait till I can say It's all done and now we can have a DVD Release Party, by the way that's also in the planning ;)

Yes you heard right...and no the world hasn't been sucked into a black hole. There may be a possibility that Shane Hartline may come in connection with Disney. It's not all that bad though. Today I had another audition through my new agency, and it was for a role in a new Disney Video where I play a small part as a Surfer. I felt like I did pretty good in the audition, we'll see how it turns out. As an actor trying to build a resume you have to take whatever you can get, and I was darn happy to take this. So go ahead and bash me or whatever, but I'm dang happy to have said I've auditioned for the dang mouse...and all his glory.
Other than that today, nuthin...but I will show you this nasty rock...

Today was kinda a crummy day. Last week I auditioned for a Lead Role in Paramount Pictures Road Trip 2...yea pretty awesome right? So my agents filmed me and sent off the tape, and I felt really confident. My agents we're rolling the entire time and they said that I did really good. Found out I didn't get the callback audition. It's the business I'm trying to get in though, 99% rejection, but when that 1% finally comes through I know it'll be sweet. But for my first audition I think a Paramount Picture sounds pretty rad eh?

I had my SAK Comedy Lab class today, I'm currently in Level 3 of classes. Once I am complete with Level 4 I might possibly start doing shows there. SAK is where Wayne Brady and many other famous comedians got their starts, and it's by far the biggest place for Improv in the state of Florida so it's truly an honor to train on it's stage. If you've never been to a SAK show you really should, check out their website www.sak.com for their show schedule, they almost have a show going on every night of the week.
Just got done capturing the footage from the "one on one narratives" we shot Thursday for the Skittin Across America DVD. I will finally start the process of piecing all the footage together tomorrow. Shouldn't take me too long to get something together, we are working on a possible VERY BIG DVD Release Party for the DVD that will truly blow your mind but I want to wait until something is set in stone before I make the announcement, but keep checking in on here, MySpace, www.woodensteel.tv and www.skittinacrossamerica.com for more info!

Great time at the House of Blues tonight. My boys Scotty, Joey, and Wacky and Myself tore up the dance floor for my buddies AJ Gallant and Matt Bentley's band "LOST IN CHAOS". The bands drummer couldn't make the show sadly, he had to go to the hospital right before the show so the band was forced to do an acoustic set. I've moved into a new Townhouse with two of my buddies. Scotty Trimmier whom most of you know that is a part of Wooden Steel Productions with me and also one of my best buddies, and Ryan Sylvester who is the bassist of Florida Band "Black in the Mind". Last night we threw our first "get together/shindig" at our house, turned out really awesome. A lot of people came out, we danced, we laugh, we cried, people fell down the stairs...funny times.
Tonight I'm going to be going to a concert at the House of Blues in Orlando, FL. Personal friend of my AJ Gallant who is playing for band "Lost in Chaos" will be playing there, will be cool to see them at the HOB. Friends will be joining me, and moshing will occur. Hopefully small children will stay out of my way.
Skittin Across America is coming along nicely. We're still in desperate need of press and a charity to work with. It's really hard to find one that fits the project we're working with. We're trying to get connected with a really awesome charity and I'll keep everyone up to date on that. We filmed our one on one narratives for the DVD this past Thursday, and they we're freakin' hilarious. I'm telling you this DVD is going to be amazing. www.skittinacrossamerica.com
I had my first audition last week with my agency "The Diamond Agency". It's really big part and callbacks are weds. I haven't heard anything yet but please pray for me and keep your fingers crossed. I felt I did really good in the audition. I'll let you know more about the audition in time.

Yep everyone, after two weeks of touring the country with my bros Scotty and Drew we are finally home and with over 20 hours of footage later, we can say that we are without a doubt going to put together one of the biggest DVD's in the history of Sketch Comedy. One of the biggest in that there has NEVER been another Sketch Comedy group to do what we have done!
Some of the most memorable things on the trip for me could range from making Will Sasso crack up in a sketch that I did with him or hanging out an entire day with Raab Himself and his friends, but your going to just have to wait and see the DVD to truly understand why this trip was amazing!
I want to thank everyone that contributed their time, effort, and money to help us take this trip. There are too many to list, so I'm just going to say you know who you are and you are loved, tremendously ;)
It's going to take many months to try to get this thing off the ground, and also we are going to try to get this thing with a distribution company so we can make a bigger impact on the charity we soon decide to work with.
Get ready everyone, the Skittin Across America DVD is going to be great, I guarantee you that and should be ready for the Holiday Season :)

That's right the Wooden Steel boys are on their way to Los Angeles, a 40+ hour train ride is ahead of us and then we film our Los Angeles leg of the Skittin Across America trip.
Today one of our stops on our train was Chicago and we had time to go out and film in the city, it was really awesome!
We can't wait to show the World our Skittin Across America DVD, and hopefully make a great impact on a charity! After a grueling, sleepless train right to Philly (over 12 hours, which wont even be our longest)...it all paid off. Day one in Philadelphia was more amazing than we could have imagined. We met up with Raab early in the day, filmed an amazing sketch then had the awesome opportunity to meet up with Jess Margera from CKY recording music in the studio with his new band "Viking Skull", and we had a chance to sit and talk with him about his current project. Then that's when it got crazy! Lets just say we had a good time with Raab in the only way he knew how, which led us downtown wearing life preservers and crazy costumes. You'll be able to see all of this on the Skittin Across America DVD, and much more! It's only day one, it can only get better from here!

We had our 12 Hour Telethon last night and it was a major success!!! We were featured the entire day on Stickam.com and gained a lot of exposure for Skittin Across America, as well as many donations! Last night at the FXE "Crush Live" event when I was scheduled to do my normal "Malibu's Most Wanted" Interview segment, Jalapeno Montana III, someone I've wrestled numerous times in the past, came out as the crew was setting up my segment and ripped apart my set and props and began ripping at me about how I "quit wrestling" and how I was a "nobody", so I came out and challenged him to a match, because you know why? That's how I roll! I hadn't wrestled a match in a year and a half, but I didn't care.
So later in the evening Rip Malibu returned to wrestling for one night only, I had to avenge my honor. It was a really hard fought battle with a lot of back and forth action and at the end of the match when I was going to hit him with my finisher, he cheated by raking my eyes, and got a quick pin and also pulled up my shorts for some extra leverage. So basically Jalapeno had to cheat to beat me, pretty sad. Either way it felt really good to wrestle a match again. Is Rip Malibu back full time? No, but nobody says I can't come back every now and then for fun. Thanks to everyone who came out to the event last night in Orlando, I should have some photos soon!

Seriously Steel Stock tonight was one of the coolest things I've ever seen, we had over 100 people come out and a lot of people contribute their time to help us with our Skittin Across America venture. Pictures will be posted soon as well as video Im sure, I just wanted to thank everyone again...Thanks to all the amazing bands for tonight Terra Terra Terra, you guys ended the show amazingly. Black in the Mind as always you guys put on such an amazing show and I had so much fun listening and jamming to you guys! Denounce the Betrayer, it was great to finally see you guys live...you guys do what you do amazingly! The Fall Affair, we couldn't have had a better band to kick off Steel Stock 2008, thank you!

First of all I wanted to give a congratulations to my girlfriend Jeanette Hicks, she retired yesterday as a Florida FFA State Officer and give a crowd of around 3,000 people one heck of a speech, she could really be president one day if she wanted to.
I have finished editing the Black in the Mind music video and it will be released THIS WEEKEND!!! We will be doing a premiere of the video at "Steel Stock 2008" this Saturday Night at The Toy World Cafe (205 Park Ave. Lake Wales, FL). If you don't know about Steel Stock yet your missing out. What it is is it's going to be a fund-raiser event for our Skittin Across America project we have going on at www.skittinacrossamerica.com and Central Florida's Biggest Bands Terra Terra Terra, Black in the Mind, Denounce the Betrayer and The Fall Affair have all agreed to donate their time to help us with our huge nationwide project. The event only costs $5.00 to enter and trust me we promise that it's going to be a great show! We will be filming it for our Skittin Across America DVD, it will be streamed live on www.woodensteel.tv/liveshow.html and we will also be doing a live "90s Back" performance! ALSO...we will finally be selling our highly anticipated "THREE GUYS ONE AWESOME TIME DVD", so be sure to bring $10 to pick up a copy of that!
Now if you can't make it out to Steel Stock we will be releasing the Black in the Mind video online on Sunday so keep a lookout at www.woodensteel.tv throughout the day for it. The video itself took 6 months from beginning to end to produce and it's one of the best things we have put together, I'm really excited about getting it out there and hopefully start doing more bands music videos.
I only have three days left of school....forever...and then I'm done! That's scary

Well yep my classes are almost done, and I'm really excited about. I have an awesome 7 or so days of freedom, then I start my dreaded summer class....AND THEN, IM DONE WITH COLLEGE!!!
What's happening in the Wooden Steel World? We just had our Wooden Steel Live webcast last night, it was great. Joey Kahm, Garrett Bryant and Katy Biel of "Joey Kahm Productions" Kahm over, hehe get it and were guests on the show. They are funny dudes, you should really check them out on MySpace and word on the street is they gots some cool stuff in da' works!
You know who else has some cool stuff in the works? WE DO!!! Tomorrow we will be filming for the 2008 MTV Movie Awards Spoof Contest, and if you remember our hit Saw 300 last year, well this year is gonna just as great and hopefully better! So stay tuned!
Also we have something very BIG in the works, and if it all works out as we plan this could be the biggest thing we have ever attempted to do, on a NATIONAL scale! So please keep updated on us, because when this thing happens...we will need all of your help to make it happen happen!

Forgetting Sarah Marshal is an amazingly funny movie, the casting was great and it's probably one of the funnier movies I've seen in a long time. There is a lot of great movies coming out this summer that I'm truly looking forward to, and I'm sure you can pick them out if you knew me.

Hey everyone, hope your all doing great! Sorry I haven't been updating this thing like I used to, I've been crazy busy since I got home from the Big Shot Live Trip, so I'll try to cover everything I've been into...

Last friday night I had another Improv Comedy Show at the Toy World Cafe in Downtown Lake Wales. I ended up hosting/performing in the show, and we really ended up having a great turnout. The show was great and some of my fellow SAK Improv Classmates came down from Orlando to do the show, great times were for sure had.
Saturday and Sunday I spent filming. Saturday I filmed for a new Big Shot Live video which I will get to later and Sunday I filmed for a new contest video. The contest is on YouTube and it's for the Schick Quattro Titanium, you can check out our video now but the voting will not start until March 25th, (CLICK HERE TO BE TAKEN TO THE VIDEO)
I've been working a lot lately with a local upstart film group named joey (KAHM) Productions consisting of Joey Kahm, Garrett Bryant and a few others. They are really cool talented kids, and I've been really psyched to work with them. Hey guys I haven't been updating this thing as much as I used to and I will try to change that. What's going on in the life of Shane Hartline?
I'm signed up to start taking some lessons at SAK Comedy Lab in Orlando, it's an 8 week course and if I do good I guess that I'll start doing shows there on Friday Night which would be amazing! I used to watch shows up there when I was younger, and it'd be great to work with those guys.
There will be no Webshow this Thursday Night because I will be doing some filming for an upcoming Music Video I am producing for Black in the Mind, I will be at the Florida Citrus Festival in Winter Haven, FL filming for BITM. They will be a part of the Battle of the Bands, it all starts at 7PM so you should come check it out!
I just got done counseling for my Youth Groups Winter Retreat this past weekend, and I also did 4 skit performances as well. I'm still really exhausted from it all, but it was a really great time for myself and the kids, God was deff hard at work as well.
I've started back classes at Polk Community College. I'm currently taking Drawing/Composition, Logic, Human Development and College Success. All elective classes, which is great. I should be done with my 2 year degree by the summer! YAY!

I got an iPhone, it's amazing...and the plan we worked out was cheaper than my last phone plan which makes it all better.
Our DVD is still in production and will be out by the end of this month or early February...it's gonna be a great buy!
I will be making another appearance at FXE Wrestling "Crush Live" January 26th. It's at the National Guard Armory in Orlando, FL if you don't have anything going on that evening you should come out, FXE puts on an amazing show. Fore more information visit myspace.com/fxewrestling

That's right, we broke 1,000 viewers last night at one point during the show on "Wooden Steel Live". We recorded the episode, but are having technical difficulties with the recording right now, and we are working on that, hopefully we will get it working soon. We want to thank everyone, we started this thing back in March with only like 20 viewers, and now we are rocking hard!
