Beach, Improv Show Last Night

Well I'm at the beach right now relaxing for my birthday weekend...thing. Something that I really needed.

Last nights Improv Show had a HUGE turnout, we literally packed the Toy World with nearly 100 people or more. I personally felt I didn't do my best at Improv, I don't think I was totally focused. It was during Lake Wales 5th Quarter after our Football game, so a good portion of the crowd was sent to check out our Improv Show...really was surreal how many people showed up.

Went and saw 30 Days of Night the other night, one of the coolest Vampire flicks I've ever seen. They portrayed them in such a awesomely freakish way. Deff worth seeing if you like Vampires.

Tonight I'm going to see Saw 4. Halloween is a fun time of year, gotta see all the scaries.

Well I gotta head out, Birthday festivities....you know ;)

LA Trip, Birthday, More

Well I got back from my Los Angeles trip on Sunday Night, and it was to say the least a busy two days. Got a lot accomplished, and met a lot of really cool people. I want to give a big thanks to Brian and Elisa for letting me stay in their "crib", really cool peoples. Wish I could have spent more time out there to hang with them, but it was deff a weekend I'll never forget. I saw Rip Taylor while I was out there! Crazy random. The fires that are happening out there right now is a really scary and sad situation, we can only pray that they will be put out soon!

My 21st Birthday is tomorrow, which is kinda crazy. Years are going by a lot faster since I've gotten out of High School, feels almost too fast. Going to the beach for the weekend to celebrate with family and friends, I'm really looking for to that, I really need it.

Going to see 30 Days of Night tonight, so I'll post my review on that maybe tomorrow.

Tomorrow nights "Wooden Steel Live" episode is going to be really funny, Scotty is going to face David Farese in an "EAT OFF", which basically means to see who can gain the most weight in 1 hour. Dont miss it, it all starts at 10PM EST/7PM PST on www.woodensteel.tv/liveshow.html

Friday Night's Improv Show is up in the air right now, we are running short of Improvers, and if I cant find any by Tomm Nights Improv Show then I will have to cancel our appearance at the "5th Quarter" after the Lake Wales football game sadly...but I've put in a lot of phone calls to some funny people I know I'm just waiting to hear back!

That's all I can think of for now...

Cackadoody,

Featured on Myspace + Across the Universe

Our Transformers Sketch was featured on MySpace TODAY!!! This is the third time we have been featured on MySpace, and it is nothing but good for us all. If you'd like to check out the video head on over to our myspace at myspace.com/woodensteel and while your there give us a friend request if you havent!

Today was a very busy day, but like I said in the last blog this is going to be a crazy week. LA this weekend!

Haley's Birthday is today, I took her some stuff up to her work, treats and what not. I love doing those little things for her. Sucks she had to work on her birthday, but oh well I will be seeing her in a little bit.

Last night Haley and I went and saw Across the Universe, and it was such an amazing film, to put it lightly. We had to drive an hour to see it, but it was worth it. I can't wait until this gets a wider release, because EVERYONE IN THIS WORLD should see this movie. There's such a powerful message in it, the soundtrack is amazing, the visuals are stunning, and it's just over all a fun movie to watch. Two thumbs up from me! I'm deff going to see it again!

Live audience Webshow again this Thursday, if your interested in joining or performing message me shanehartline@aim.com or just show up at The Toy World Cafe 205 Park Ave. Lake Wales, FL this Thur around 9:30PM

Until next time folks!

First Live Audience Webshow...

So last night we had our first live audience webshow, even though there wasn't a huge turnout there were still a lot of viewers even with the HUGE amount of technical difficulties we had. I really have no idea the audio was as bad as it was, and I feel bad because we had Peter NeSmith playing and our microphone system did not give him the credit he deserved. He really did an awesome job last night, you'll deff be seing his name soon. Check out his music: http://www.myspace.com/loveandbeingalone

Tonight Haley, my family, a couple of Haley's Friends and Myself are all going out to celebrate her birthday a few days early. Her actual Birthday is on Monday, but she has to work....therefor we will give her a bash tonight.

This coming week is going to be crazy for me

That's all for this post, until next time...

Heart Break Kid + L.A.

I went and saw The Farrely Bros new film "The Heart Break Kid" last night starring Ben Stiller. Stiller has such a good way of making you feel uncomfortable for him, probably the best actor to do this IMO. The movie wasn't amazing, but it wasn't bad. I expected a lot more. Some of the comedy parts could have been toned down a tad, and been just a funny. I'm not a big fan of comedies that go overload on the "American Pie" type humor. I mean that stuff is and can be funny, but some movies use it way too much. Heart Break Kid had certain parts I think they could have cut out that tried to use the "American Pie" type humor. Overall though it's a funny story.

I will be in Los Angeles a week from this weekend hanging out with my friend Brian Miles, actor extrodinaire. Really looking forward to that!

Other than that still got school and work hitting me hard Mon-Fri, blah.

Thursday Night is our FIRST Live Audience Webcast of "Wooden Steel Live", if your in the Lake Wales area and want to be a part of the audience message me at myspace.com/shartlinemyspace

I love my fiance' Haley, with all the crazy stuff that goes on in my life, she's always what I can go to to take my mind away from it all. I'm so lucky God has let her be a part of my life...

Until next time...

Halloween Horror Nights

Friday night we all went to Halloween Horror Nights, and it was a great time. When we first got there though it was pouring rain, so we went and ate at Bubba Gumps. The rain then stopped, so we were psyched about that. But as soon as we got into Universal it started pouring again. Our passes where good for any Friday so we said if the rain was really bad before we got into the park we were going to come back another friday, just our luck we thought that it would start raining literally 2 minutes after we went through the gates. But it all turned out PERFECT. We drudged through the rain to get to the "Bill & Ted Show", which is always something I look forward to. It was not their best Bill and Ted Show but it was still pretty funny. Once we left the Bill and Ted Show, the rain had left, and so did half the people at the park. I think the rain made alot of people leave so the lines were literally nothing at all. We hit all the big haunted houses and then some.

*Some Haunted House Spoilers....*

The Leatherface Haunted House was crazy, just like the house from the movie, and had all the family members as well. There's one point in the house where leather face is swinging a chainsaw over your head from behind a fence. Also there's a part of it where you go through all the sheets, just like in the movie and he's chasing you, pretty intense. The next one we hit up was the Jason house. Had the whole "Camp" theme, wasn't really into that house. One part of it was kinda crazy, you go through a cabin with a bunch of bunks, with dead people on it, yea. Then we went into the Freddy Haunted House, pretty wild. Right when you go into it you go into this tent with this "Sleep Gas" in the air, and then you go through this little tunnel with flashing lights like your supposed to be falling asleep, then your instantly on Elm Street and going into the infamous house. Main thing I remember about that house is you go into this room where everything was sideways. The fan was on the wall, and the bed was on the other wall, and you had to walk through this bed with alot of "Blood" all over it. Kinda creepy. Then the next house we went into was this "Christmas Massacre" theme. A neighborhood all decorated christmasy, with like 30's Christmas Music playing which made it more creepy. Then you get into this house where there is this psycho family, and a crazy santa clause. Pretty nuts, but it was my favorite haunted house.

So overall it was a good night, started off kinda crappy, but turned out really good. My conclusion on going to an outside event like this is to check the weather before you go, so you don't wear flip flops. My feet where soaked the whole night, and I came home and my flip flops had died my feet brown...yea really nasty stuff.

I just got done watching the next episode of SNL, Seth Rogen was a great host. I wish this would have been the season premiere. Samberg did a hilarious K-Fed impression to kick-start the show. The "McGruber" bits where very funny. The sketch with Kristin Wiig and Seth Rogen as brother and sister was my favorite sketch of the night. And a special appearance by Chevy Chase made this a very memorable episode. Jon Bon Jovi hosts next week, hmmmm...should be interesting.

After I got home from taking the CLAST test today, or yesterday now I should say I slept until like 5PM, the weeks are killing me. The CLAST test wasn't as hard as I thought it'd be though, hopefully I passed and wont have to re-take it. I'll be glad when I'm done with all this college stuff.

I may start taking some more Improv Classes soon up at SAK's in Orlando. I'll keep everyone updated on that.

Until next time...

Cool Webshow News + More

Incase you don't know the sketch comedy group I'm a part of "Wooden Steel Productions" does a LIVE internet webshow on thursday nights at 10pm EST on woodensteel.tv Well starting next Thursday we are going to be trying out something BIG with our webshows, we are going to have a LIVE AUDIENCE for the first time ever! We will be broadcasting the webshow Live from the "Toy World Cafe" in Lake Wales, FL where we do our Improv Shows and if it goes well we will start doing it there every Thursday. It's going to be pretty crazy doing the webshow in front of a live audience, but it will deff give a different feel to the whole show. Sure it won't be a crazy huge audience but something small, intimate and cool. I'm also looking for some cool sounding local bands that would be interested in playing 2 songs during the show, and in return we'd push your band and your bands myspace/site/concerts whatever. If your interested email me at shanehartline@aim.com Also if your interested in being part of the Live Audience email em as well...

It's October! October has always been one of my favorite months of the year, the weather is starting to change, my birthday October 25th ;), and Halloween! Octobers are always fun to me.

Halo 3 is amazing, I've played a little bit of the campaign but online has been consuming me. If you have XBL and wanna rock online, my gamertag is ripmalibuFXE

I have to study tonight for a HUGE Test/Quiz in the same class tomorrow! Yea you heard right, a Test and a Quiz on the same day, wrong? I THINK SO! How could someone give you a test and a quiz on the same day, and this guy gives some hard tests. I have a bad feeling I'm not going to do very good on this class, it's Bio Science and it's kicking my butt. School all together is feeling soooo pointless in my life right now. I'm not really going to use it for anything.

Praying for something to take off...Just want to have a fun life with Haley, entertaining as my profession. I wanna be in movies, I wanna make people laugh and get paid for it! There's nothing else I want to do.

Hope everyone has an amazing monday!
