First of all I haven't posted my reactions to the Wooden Steel Christmas Special and Improv Show, they went amazing and I couldnt have asked them to go any better! The Christmas special was awesome, TTT was great and there was a great turnout for the webshow...if you havent seen it yet check it out in our blog at www.myspace.com/woodensteel. The Improv Show also went perfect, we had a great amount of awesome Improvers, and the turnout was amazing, well around 100 people coming from ALL AROUND The state of Florida! I couldn't have been happier!
So yep, I'm in NYC right now. I'm here until Sunday and it's been great. Sooo many people here right now due to the New Years bash that will be taking place, and it can get kind of exhausting. I went on the NBC Studio Tour Today, I've taken it before on a past trip and I never get sick of it. I love seeing all the studios, and my future home of the SNL Studio ;) Conan comes back Jan 2nd with NO WRITERS, he's going to have to wing the whole show off the top of his head, I honestly can't wait to see how that turns out, it could totally change his show in either a good or a bad way.
After the New Years I have SOOOO Much going on...Working on some big projects out of big places, going to do a music video with some of my friends, going to start on the Wooden Steel DVD, and film some new awesome Comedy Sketches. ALOT of work but it's going to be great!
Well until next time, I'm freezing my balls off up here in New York, I'll try to update this again while I'm up here...thanks for reading :)

Vegas...whew! It's a crazy town, I don't know if it's a town that I'd want to visit often, but deff a town worth visiting once in your life. The lights and the buildings are amazing, the casinos SUCK! I lost a lot of money but the way I look at it is you never really make much money going on a vacation.
We got into Vegas on Monday, the Highlight of Monday was an AWESOME Buffet that almost made me sick because I ate soooo much. There's literally buffets everywhere in Vegas. Then I went into the Luxor to buy a Criss Angel shirt for one of my buddies, and literally 5 minutes later, Criss Angel walks in. It was really rad to get to see him in person, I snapped a couple pictures, the best I could and you can check them out on my MySpace Click Here. I also bought a really rad necklace on Monday.
The rest of the days were spent seeing things that you don't usually get to see in weather that was ridiculously tooooo cold. It was like 40 Degrees during the day...CRAZY!
We saw The Carrot Top Show Wednesday Night, it was surprisingly very funny...he's a good comedian.
So overall Vegas was a really fun trip, I'm sure there's things I've missed out on but yea...
This Thursday Night is our Webshow Christmas Special, it's going to be AWESOME. THe band "Terra Terra Terra" is coming to play on the show for free, which is really rad for them. If you'd like to watch it check it out Live at 10pm EST - 7pm PST at www.woodensteel.tv/liveshow.html
This Friday Night is another Improv Comedy Show, it's going to be at the Toy World Cafe in Lake Wales, FL. 205 Park Ave. It's going to start at 8PM and admission is free, so come down for a really rad time!
I have so many Christmas gifts left to get, and not much money...time to be resourceful :)
It's insane to think Christmas is only 6 DAYS AWAY!
I want the writers strike to end BAD!
We will start filming some new sketches, and MUSIC VIDEOS after Christmas...as well as releasing our much anticipated "Best of" DVD with loads of behind the scenes footage and outtakes and such...so keep a lookout for that!
Also after Christmas I plan to take some classes at the SAK Comedy Lab in Orlando, which reminds me I need to make a phone call.
Life is great right now, hope everyone else has Happy Holiday!
Be excellent to each other,
Shane
That's right I'm home from Vegas, and I have so much to tell you guys but I honestly have no time right now to put it all down...I'm going to the coast for the night so when I get back in town tomorrow evening I plan on doing a HUGE blog on my whole trip. A lot of cool things happened, and I can't wait to tell you guys...UNTIL THEN!
Be excellent to each other,
Shane
That's right, Shane Hartline is going to Las Vegas! I will be over there from Dec 10th-14th!!! I'm going with my dad because he has some business classes. I've never been to Vegas and I'm truly looking forward to it. Hopefully I'll come back with a new car from a quarter slot!
No webshow next week though, bummer but will just make the Dec 20th Christmas Special that much better :)
Life is great right now
I may get on Webcam from time to time via Stickam in Vegas, that's only if I pack a cam...we'll see what happens, but keep a lookout at www.woodensteel.tv/liveshow.html
Our new DVD is gonna rock your socks.
Go see "The Mist", freakin awesome.
Superbad is on DVD, buy it...
I can't wait for the writers strike to end, I want new episodes of SNL!

I went to the Black in the Mind concert last night, great time. I saw a lot of people I knew, my buddy Josh Van Dykes band was there, and the band I did a music video in the past The Love Affair was there. If you've never seen the video I did for them about a year ago CLICK HERE
After Christmas at some point I am going to finally be producing a Music video for Black in the Mind. The guys and I have a lot of great ideas, so get ready for that! Check out Black in the Mind HERE
Our latest sketch "Apples n Bananas" I have been told is one of our funniest videos yet! If you haven't checked it out yet, PLEASE DO HERE
I need to finish Christmas Shopping.
I took a Drivers Course today because I got a speeding ticket about 3 weeks ago, 4 hours of sitting through a lecture on driving...blah. The teacher was a cool so it made it a little less miserable.
December 20th is our Wooden Steel Live "Christmas Special". We have a lot of exciting awesome stuff planned for that episode. And yes I used both the words exciting and awesome, it's gonna be worth that. It's going to be a 2 hour webisode, Santa Clause will be on hand the whole time to answer your Skype Calls, and there just might be a band to perform live...a well known band as well!
Also, December 21st is our next Improv Comedy Show. If you haven't been to one of these yet, you should really check them out they are loads of fun. They are at the Toy World Cafe in Lake Wales, 205 Park Ave. It's all gonna start around 8PM, then afterwards I plan to have a DVD Release party for our Best of DVD if it's completed in Time...which would be fun.
Speaking of our DVD, we need a cool name for it! So if you want to join the contest to pick the name for our new DVD, join our message boards and reply to the "NAME OUR DVD CONTEST" Post and if you win you will get the FIRST EVER Copy of the DVD Autographed for Free, and a Mystery Prize. Click HERE to be taken to our Message Board...
Well that's all for this HUGE Post ;) Until next time...

Lets just say that the trip was a big let down. I was looking forward to the trip so much, a get away is seriously something I needed in my life. But what happens when I get there? I get horribly sick and 90% of the Wed-Sat Trip I spent in my hotel bed. I was so let down. To some Savannah is not a fabulous town but I really enjoy it. It's a really chill old town with a lot of cool buildings and the river is really fun. But yea, hopefully I'll get over this stupid sore throat soon, blah!
Other than that class starts back Monday, not looking forward to that but will be done in like 2 weeks anyways.
We have a new video coming out in the next couple days, keep a look out for that it's some of our most funny/random stuff yet!
We didn't make it into the finals of the Sidekick Contest, really lame but some of the finalist (ex: Balloon Shop, David Lehre) were deserving, the others weren't too spectacular to me. Oh well...
Until next time....
-Shane
So yea the title says It all, on last nights episode of Wooden Steel Live I made a little girl cry. Every week we get phone numbers from people in the chat room of friends of theirs to prank call. I do it this way so they can call them after at some point and say "Hahaha, gotcha!". But last night's prank call was meant to be to one of our fans mothers, but instead her 13 year old daughter answered and the call ended wit the girl in tears. At first I felt really bad, and I still kind of do but I don't know how she didn't know it was prank call. You have to check it out, I'm eventually just going to clip the call out of the show to put on YouTube but until then you can watch it somewhere around the 40 min mark of last nights show on www.woodensteel.tv/liveshow.html
Done with college for the break, still have to finish a paper though and email it to a teacher, but as for going to classes I'm done for a week! YEA!!!
No webshow next week, will be out of town and everyone will be eating like crazy anyways so.
I don't know what I'm doing yet this weekend, hopefully I'll figure it out soon...I don't know if it will be able to top last weekend.
We really need some support right now in getting some attention in the judging process of the MySpace Sidekick LX Contest, go to our blog at www.myspace.com/woodensteel to find out information on how to help us. Basically we need lots of comments on the video on our Myspace.
Until next time, that will be all...if you guys ever have any questions for me, or things you'd like for me to talk about on my blog please contact me on my MySpace www.myspace.com/shartlinemyspace
Next post will probably be from Savannah, GA!
-Shane
Sorry about the lack of updates, a lot of crazy stuff has been going on in my life and I haven't really mustered up the "umphf" to update this thing...
Last night was FXE's first show, "CRUSH LIVE". This show has been 4 years in the making and it truly was an honor for me and my Wooden Steel boys to be able to do something on the show. I trained at FXE and when I found out they were doing a show, I really had to help out someway. We did a segment in which I interviewed FXE Original "Grover", which lead to his beatdown by Alex Porteua and trust me there was nothing we could have down to help this dude! Afterwards we all went to "Scoreboards Grill" and much fun was had with Karaoke and dancing. My wrestling bros are really fun! You really should check out FXE's next show in January, keep updated on their profile www.myspace.com/fxewrestling
We have a new video up that we have entered into the Myspace T-Mobile Sidekick Contest, you can view it by clicking HERE
I really can't wait for Thanksgiving break, we are going up to Savannah, GA for a few days, I love it up there, it's a really awesome town!
Other than that if you have any questions hit me up on my MySpace, link to the right!
Peace,
Shane
So I got my new camera yesterday, my folks got it for me for my 21st Birthday/Christmas gift. I'm really really psyched to start using this camera. It's going to make our stuff look so good and wont take up a crapload of space on my Hard Drive, which I'm very excited about. My HD Camera was killing my hard drives.
The beach this past weekend was very needed, thanks to everyone who contributed to the awesomeness of it!
Saw 4 was pretty cool, continued the story very well. I predict they will spit out 10 of these movies total.
Halloween was really depressing. We only had a total of about 5 doorbells last night with trick-or-treaters. And nobody pulls pranks anymore! What is happening to Halloween? I did eat a lot of good foods, which is always nice.
Me and the dudes are going to be doing something really cool here soon, and we will announce it tonight on Wooden Steel Live! www.woodensteel.tv/liveshow.html
Blah
That is all...
-Shane
Well I'm at the beach right now relaxing for my birthday weekend...thing. Something that I really needed.
Last nights Improv Show had a HUGE turnout, we literally packed the Toy World with nearly 100 people or more. I personally felt I didn't do my best at Improv, I don't think I was totally focused. It was during Lake Wales 5th Quarter after our Football game, so a good portion of the crowd was sent to check out our Improv Show...really was surreal how many people showed up.
Went and saw 30 Days of Night the other night, one of the coolest Vampire flicks I've ever seen. They portrayed them in such a awesomely freakish way. Deff worth seeing if you like Vampires.
Tonight I'm going to see Saw 4. Halloween is a fun time of year, gotta see all the scaries.
Well I gotta head out, Birthday festivities....you know ;)
-Shane
Well I got back from my Los Angeles trip on Sunday Night, and it was to say the least a busy two days. Got a lot accomplished, and met a lot of really cool people. I want to give a big thanks to Brian and Elisa for letting me stay in their "crib", really cool peoples. Wish I could have spent more time out there to hang with them, but it was deff a weekend I'll never forget. I saw Rip Taylor while I was out there! Crazy random. The fires that are happening out there right now is a really scary and sad situation, we can only pray that they will be put out soon!
My 21st Birthday is tomorrow, which is kinda crazy. Years are going by a lot faster since I've gotten out of High School, feels almost too fast. Going to the beach for the weekend to celebrate with family and friends, I'm really looking for to that, I really need it.
Going to see 30 Days of Night tonight, so I'll post my review on that maybe tomorrow.
Tomorrow nights "Wooden Steel Live" episode is going to be really funny, Scotty is going to face David Farese in an "EAT OFF", which basically means to see who can gain the most weight in 1 hour. Dont miss it, it all starts at 10PM EST/7PM PST on www.woodensteel.tv/liveshow.html
Friday Night's Improv Show is up in the air right now, we are running short of Improvers, and if I cant find any by Tomm Nights Improv Show then I will have to cancel our appearance at the "5th Quarter" after the Lake Wales football game sadly...but I've put in a lot of phone calls to some funny people I know I'm just waiting to hear back!
That's all I can think of for now...
Cackadoody,
Shane Hartline
So yea I have to wake up in about 3 hours to leave for California! It's going to be a very fun/productive weekend, and I will miss you all oh so dearly! While I'm gone you guys should watch our live webshow we just got done broadcasting....www.woodensteel.tv/liveshow.html
I'm gonna really miss Haley, hate being away from her, but it will make it just that much better when I get back :)
So ta-ta everyone, time to get as much beauty sleep as I can get....apparantley it's not enough huh? Haha! Ehhh...
-Shane
Our Transformers Sketch was featured on MySpace TODAY!!! This is the third time we have been featured on MySpace, and it is nothing but good for us all. If you'd like to check out the video head on over to our myspace at myspace.com/woodensteel and while your there give us a friend request if you havent!
Today was a very busy day, but like I said in the last blog this is going to be a crazy week. LA this weekend!
Haley's Birthday is today, I took her some stuff up to her work, treats and what not. I love doing those little things for her. Sucks she had to work on her birthday, but oh well I will be seeing her in a little bit.
Last night Haley and I went and saw Across the Universe, and it was such an amazing film, to put it lightly. We had to drive an hour to see it, but it was worth it. I can't wait until this gets a wider release, because EVERYONE IN THIS WORLD should see this movie. There's such a powerful message in it, the soundtrack is amazing, the visuals are stunning, and it's just over all a fun movie to watch. Two thumbs up from me! I'm deff going to see it again!
Live audience Webshow again this Thursday, if your interested in joining or performing message me shanehartline@aim.com or just show up at The Toy World Cafe 205 Park Ave. Lake Wales, FL this Thur around 9:30PM
Until next time folks!

So last night we had our first live audience webshow, even though there wasn't a huge turnout there were still a lot of viewers even with the HUGE amount of technical difficulties we had. I really have no idea the audio was as bad as it was, and I feel bad because we had Peter NeSmith playing and our microphone system did not give him the credit he deserved. He really did an awesome job last night, you'll deff be seing his name soon. Check out his music: http://www.myspace.com/loveandbeingalone
Tonight Haley, my family, a couple of Haley's Friends and Myself are all going out to celebrate her birthday a few days early. Her actual Birthday is on Monday, but she has to work....therefor we will give her a bash tonight.
This coming week is going to be crazy for me
That's all for this post, until next time...

I went and saw The Farrely Bros new film "The Heart Break Kid" last night starring Ben Stiller. Stiller has such a good way of making you feel uncomfortable for him, probably the best actor to do this IMO. The movie wasn't amazing, but it wasn't bad. I expected a lot more. Some of the comedy parts could have been toned down a tad, and been just a funny. I'm not a big fan of comedies that go overload on the "American Pie" type humor. I mean that stuff is and can be funny, but some movies use it way too much. Heart Break Kid had certain parts I think they could have cut out that tried to use the "American Pie" type humor. Overall though it's a funny story.
I will be in Los Angeles a week from this weekend hanging out with my friend Brian Miles, actor extrodinaire. Really looking forward to that!
Other than that still got school and work hitting me hard Mon-Fri, blah.
Thursday Night is our FIRST Live Audience Webcast of "Wooden Steel Live", if your in the Lake Wales area and want to be a part of the audience message me at myspace.com/shartlinemyspace
I love my fiance' Haley, with all the crazy stuff that goes on in my life, she's always what I can go to to take my mind away from it all. I'm so lucky God has let her be a part of my life...
Until next time...
KAZZAM!!!....
Friday night we all went to Halloween Horror Nights, and it was a great time. When we first got there though it was pouring rain, so we went and ate at Bubba Gumps. The rain then stopped, so we were psyched about that. But as soon as we got into Universal it started pouring again. Our passes where good for any Friday so we said if the rain was really bad before we got into the park we were going to come back another friday, just our luck we thought that it would start raining literally 2 minutes after we went through the gates. But it all turned out PERFECT. We drudged through the rain to get to the "Bill & Ted Show", which is always something I look forward to. It was not their best Bill and Ted Show but it was still pretty funny. Once we left the Bill and Ted Show, the rain had left, and so did half the people at the park. I think the rain made alot of people leave so the lines were literally nothing at all. We hit all the big haunted houses and then some.
*Some Haunted House Spoilers....*
The Leatherface Haunted House was crazy, just like the house from the movie, and had all the family members as well. There's one point in the house where leather face is swinging a chainsaw over your head from behind a fence. Also there's a part of it where you go through all the sheets, just like in the movie and he's chasing you, pretty intense. The next one we hit up was the Jason house. Had the whole "Camp" theme, wasn't really into that house. One part of it was kinda crazy, you go through a cabin with a bunch of bunks, with dead people on it, yea. Then we went into the Freddy Haunted House, pretty wild. Right when you go into it you go into this tent with this "Sleep Gas" in the air, and then you go through this little tunnel with flashing lights like your supposed to be falling asleep, then your instantly on Elm Street and going into the infamous house. Main thing I remember about that house is you go into this room where everything was sideways. The fan was on the wall, and the bed was on the other wall, and you had to walk through this bed with alot of "Blood" all over it. Kinda creepy. Then the next house we went into was this "Christmas Massacre" theme. A neighborhood all decorated christmasy, with like 30's Christmas Music playing which made it more creepy. Then you get into this house where there is this psycho family, and a crazy santa clause. Pretty nuts, but it was my favorite haunted house.
So overall it was a good night, started off kinda crappy, but turned out really good. My conclusion on going to an outside event like this is to check the weather before you go, so you don't wear flip flops. My feet where soaked the whole night, and I came home and my flip flops had died my feet brown...yea really nasty stuff.
I just got done watching the next episode of SNL, Seth Rogen was a great host. I wish this would have been the season premiere. Samberg did a hilarious K-Fed impression to kick-start the show. The "McGruber" bits where very funny. The sketch with Kristin Wiig and Seth Rogen as brother and sister was my favorite sketch of the night. And a special appearance by Chevy Chase made this a very memorable episode. Jon Bon Jovi hosts next week, hmmmm...should be interesting.
After I got home from taking the CLAST test today, or yesterday now I should say I slept until like 5PM, the weeks are killing me. The CLAST test wasn't as hard as I thought it'd be though, hopefully I passed and wont have to re-take it. I'll be glad when I'm done with all this college stuff.
I may start taking some more Improv Classes soon up at SAK's in Orlando. I'll keep everyone updated on that.
Until next time...

PS- CHECK OUT THE 90'S BACK VID!
Sorry I haven't posted in a couple days (I don't even know if anyone reads this, but w/e). This post is going to be kept kind of short, it's mainly to tell all of you guys if you don't know by now but our HUGE new video has been released. It's called "90s Back" and it's a spoof on Justin Timberlake's "Sexy Back" about a group of young guys wanting to bring the 90s back to pop culture. You can check it out at www.woodensteel.tv/90sback.html
I'm also going to Halloween Horror Nights with Haley, Drew, Katy, My Mom and My Sisters! It's going to rock, I enjoy going so much. I'll let you guys know how it was.
Until next time,
Shane
Incase you don't know the sketch comedy group I'm a part of "Wooden Steel Productions" does a LIVE internet webshow on thursday nights at 10pm EST on woodensteel.tv Well starting next Thursday we are going to be trying out something BIG with our webshows, we are going to have a LIVE AUDIENCE for the first time ever! We will be broadcasting the webshow Live from the "Toy World Cafe" in Lake Wales, FL where we do our Improv Shows and if it goes well we will start doing it there every Thursday. It's going to be pretty crazy doing the webshow in front of a live audience, but it will deff give a different feel to the whole show. Sure it won't be a crazy huge audience but something small, intimate and cool. I'm also looking for some cool sounding local bands that would be interested in playing 2 songs during the show, and in return we'd push your band and your bands myspace/site/concerts whatever. If your interested email me at shanehartline@aim.com Also if your interested in being part of the Live Audience email em as well...
It's October! October has always been one of my favorite months of the year, the weather is starting to change, my birthday October 25th ;), and Halloween! Octobers are always fun to me.
Halo 3 is amazing, I've played a little bit of the campaign but online has been consuming me. If you have XBL and wanna rock online, my gamertag is ripmalibuFXE
I have to study tonight for a HUGE Test/Quiz in the same class tomorrow! Yea you heard right, a Test and a Quiz on the same day, wrong? I THINK SO! How could someone give you a test and a quiz on the same day, and this guy gives some hard tests. I have a bad feeling I'm not going to do very good on this class, it's Bio Science and it's kicking my butt. School all together is feeling soooo pointless in my life right now. I'm not really going to use it for anything.
Praying for something to take off...Just want to have a fun life with Haley, entertaining as my profession. I wanna be in movies, I wanna make people laugh and get paid for it! There's nothing else I want to do.
Hope everyone has an amazing monday!
-Shane
Just got home from watching the Gator game at a friends house, pretty cool time. Not a huge football fan but it's fun to hang with people that are. Really close game, It's fun when it gets like that.
So the Improv Show was last night, which is always a fun time. We didn't have the biggest turn out we've ever had but it still was a good crowd. We were also a little short of improvers which also made things hard, but all in all it was really a fun time. We then ate at IHOP after, and I was highly surprised that that didn't make me sick. Greasier food at that late of night usually messes me up.
Today I slept in till about 2, to catch up on the extreme lack of sleep I got this week. Monday-Friday I get NOOOO sleep. School/work is killing me, but I'll be fine. When I got up I went to the mall to get a copy of Halo 3, finally! Then I went and took the beautiful Haley some food at her work, I always like doing that. Then I came home and played a little bit of Halo 3, not as much as I wish I could of, because I had to get into the "Mystery Project" we've been working on.
Our Mystery Project is going to rock the World...just wait!
I'm watching the SNL's Season Premiere, pretty funny stuff.
Until next time, peace people!
-Shane Hartline
So this is technically my first blog as Shane Hartline, you may be kind of confused by that statement but here's what I mean... I used to wrestle, and when I wrestled as my "Rip Malibu" character I did a blog as that character, totally 100% as the character, but some of it was true life...if you'd like to check out that OLLLLDDDD blog you can by clicking the link below...
http://ripmalibu.livejournal.com alot of people ask me if I'm going to be coming back to wrestling ever, I'd like to come back sometime for another match just for fun, but as for right now I'm not in the shape and I'm enjoying what I'm doing.
There's a webshow tonight, I'm really looking forward to that. It's always cool when we can all get together to do them, and they are really starting to attract some big audiences. We've been featured for the past 3 weeks on www.stickam.com and that makes it so much more fun :) Advertised for tonight is "Kid Rock vs Tommy Lee in a boxing Match" if everything pans out right.
Haley goes to school Thursday Nights so it's hard for her to come hang out when we do the webshows which sucks. I really enjoy when she helps out and has ideas for things I do because she's got such an amazing imagination. She helped me out with both of the ideas for the Nesquik Contest and the Doritos Contest. I love her so much and I can't wait to get married to her in 8 months! Wow, I never thought I'd say that I was getting married. It's beginning to start hitting me that I'm about to get married. I know alot of you are probably thinking that it wont fully hit me until I'm out on my own paying bills, etc. And I realize that, and I just went through a phase where I was really scared about that. But the more I think about it, I know I can do it. Just keep God first, and everything else falls into place, I've come to find that out. Hopefully I will be doing funny movies for a living by then, and Haley will be able to come along for the fun....ah I can only hope, until then gotta keep working at it!
My SNLorBust.com website is still up and running. It's gotten over 300 signatures, which is really awesome but it's been kinda in a slow period over the past month. Which is fine, I didn't expect it to stay at a constant buzz like it was when if first opened. I have made some awesome advances and contacts with the site though, so it's deff been a success in my opinion.
We have an AMAZING new project that will be released soon, I wanted to release it on tonights webshow, but It wont be nearly done bye then. Maybe next week. I am guarantee you this is our biggest thing yet, and it will blow up! Just wait, but until then you can get some "teaser" pictures at our myspace.... www.myspace.com/woodensteel
We have an Improv Show Tomorrow night, I'm really looking forward to that....I always love to go all out. Making people laugh makes me so happy. If you'd like to attend it's all free and it starts at 8PM at The Toy World Cafe, 205 Park Ave Lake Wales, FL 33898. Or you can watch it LIVE ONLINE at www.woodensteel.tv/liveshow.html starting at 8pm EST
Well I probably won't be posting another blog until Saturday, and I'll give my thoughts on the Improv Show and whatever else is going on that I feel interesting enough in my life to tell you guys! PEACE!
-Shane
